Plot : Must Read After My Death is a documentary film directed by Morgan Dews about her grandmother’s Allis’s secret collection. The collection that included 300 pages of official transcripts, fifty hours of audio diaries and dictaphone records, and 201 home movies, chronicled the troubled times she faced in her marriage in the unconventional 1960s-era. The film uses the above mentioned evidences to highlight how Allis, a woman much ahead of her times and Charlie, in a bid to save their marriage, that was rapidly falling apart, submitted their family to group and individual therapies, who could offer no help beyond a handful a of pills and sending the family members away for evaluation. This film explores the downfall of a typical American family.
