Plot : Directed by George Gallo, Local Color is a drama based on a true incident, about a successful artist who remembers about the decisive year from his past. John Talia (Trevor Morgan) is a talented, but troubled eighteen year old art student who pays a visit to the genius Russian painter Nicoli Seroff (Armin Mueller-Stahl). However, he soon learns that his idol is a bitter alcoholic, who is still grieving the loss of his long dead wife Anya. John is however, successful in befriending the master. Later, during a vacation with Nicoli, their relationship further improves as John is able to not only revive Seroff’s interest in his work but also the will to live.
