Plot : “Liverpool” is an incredible drama directed by Lisandro Alonso. The movie presents the life of a lonely man, Farrel (Juan Fernandez), whose endless wandering has forced him to stand on the brink of emotional wreckage. This merchant sailor has spent all his life in getting displaced from one port to another, in order to perform the responsibilities of his job. In this movie, it is shown that this freedom actually appears to him as a rootless existence as he never got the chance, to stay in any one place, for a sufficiently long period of time. That’s why today he’s having no friends or loved ones to share the happiness and sorrows of his life. Liverpool video then shows that one day Farrel decides to visit a seaside city Ushuaia, in order to see his longtime family friend Trujillo (Nieves Cabrera). Trujillo is the one who has looked after Farrel’s daughter, Analia (Giselle Irrazabal), in all these past years. But he actually has strong feelings of disregard for Carrel because just for his job sake, the latter hasn’t taken care of his own child. Even Analia also has her own grievances because her childhood has been deprived of parental love.
