Plot : Leatherheads is a sports based romantic comedy directed by George Clooney. The story is set in 1925 against the backdrop of America's nascent pro-football league. Dodge Connolly is a charming, brash football hero who tries to salvage his team after it is dumped by the sponsors. For this purpose, he tries to convince a college football star, Carter Rutherford, to join the team. Carter single-handedly forced multiple German soldiers to surrender in WWI due to which he has become America’s favorite son. However, a reporter named Lexie Littleton, has taken it on herself to prove that Carter is too good to be true. Things are further complicated as both Dodge and Carter fall for Lexie.
