Plot : If Love Hadn’t Left Me Lonely, is drama directed by Fred Williamson.  Ricardo French (Richard Brooks) became a stockbroker after being a successful music director in the 80’s. However, in the present times, he spends his days as a recovering alcoholic, who utilizes most of his energy in trying to remain sober. Even though he has started becoming detached, his sudden confrontation with Lexie (Cindy Herron Braggs) starts to change his life. Lexie, a classically trained dancer, is forced to work for Rashid (Ice-T), a dubious nightclub owner. After seeing Lexie performing on the stage, Ricardo is inspired to go back to making music and prove that he can still create a hit. As Ricardo gradually rises to the top, Lexie is being dragged lower by her offensive ex-husband who also threatens to take away her daughter. Whether these two helpless individuals will get together at some point in life, or they will continue to drift like two forlorn ships, remains to be seen.
