Plot : Flags of Our Fathers is an action movie revealing a touching story related to WW II. The movie depicts how a small thing can cause a large change in our lives. In the year 1945 five Marines and one Navy Corpsman were photographed as they raised U.S. flag on Mt. Suribachi. In the battle only three of them survived. The survivors; John "Doc" Bradley (Ryan Phillippe), Pvt. Rene Gagnon (Jesse Bradford), and Pvt. Ira Hayes (Adam Beach) came to mass popularity in U.S. due to that picture. The government which was running out of the war funds used that photograph as a symbol of victory over Iwo Jima for misguiding people in buying war funds. Those three survivors were brought back as a symbol of national pride to strengthen the bond drive. These three felt quite uncomfortable in dealing with this sudden popularity which they didn’t deserve. In-spite of knowing the truth, they had been made to learn a false story which they had to tell whenever asked. Actually the war was not over. Still the actual heroes were busy fighting with the Japanese. The three of them found it wrong but had been made to do so forcibly.
