Plot : First Sunday is a crime comedy about Durell (Ice Cube) and LeeJohn (Tracy Morgan) who are best friends and petty criminals. When Durell’s girlfriend, threatens to leave the town with the couple’s young son, the two buddies plan to rob their neighborhood church, to get the $17,000 required to keep Durell’s family together. However, somebody proves to be smarter than the duo and in order to get that quick cash, the pair is forced to take a group of church parishioners’ hostage. While they spend the entire night in the presence of the Lord and his followers, they find themselves being slowly convinced by the parishioners to repent and give up their lawless lifestyles.
