Plot : Directed by Dennis Lee, Fireflies in the Garden is drama about a family torn apart by a tragedy and has to face the complexities of love and commitment. Lisa Taylor (Julia Roberts) and Charlie (Willem Dafoe) are the proud parents of two grown up and successful children Michael (Ryan Reynolds) and Shannon (Ryne Taylor). But soon Lisa dies in a fatal car accident. The loss of the family matriarch brings up the long buried tensions between Michael and Charlie. On the other hand, Kelly (Carrie-Anne Moss), Michael's alienated wife starts getting back with Michael while attending the funeral of Lisa. Later, Michael’s announcement about publishing the memoirs from his childhood disturbs his younger sister Jane (Emily Watson), who feels that it will bring the devastating, long-buried secrets of the family out in the open. In addition, prior to her demise, Lisa seemingly had been grappling with a secret of her own, which if revealed now can destroy the family’s sense of security!!
