Plot : Crossing Over is a multi-character movie about a group of illegal immigrants from different nationalities trying to get legal residency in Los Angeles. The movie highlights the stark reality of hordes of illegal immigrants flooding into Los Angeles, despite the watchful eyes of immigration enforcement agents, assigned with the job of making the U.S. borders secure. The movie covers a wide range of systems and issues including document fraud, the asylum and green card process, work-site enforcement, naturalization, the office of counter terrorism and the clash of cultures etc. It takes a look at the desperate and harrowing lives of these immigrants who have reached America from around the world in search of the American dream and a better life.
