Plot : Che : Part One is a biographical war drama directed by Steven Soderbergh and is the first part of the of two film package. The story is set in 1956 and revolves around an Argentine doctor and revolutionary hero, Ernesto Che Guevara (Benicio del Toro) who was emerging as one of the prominent figures in the growing Cuban rebellion at that time. Che, who shared a common dream with Fidel Castro (Demián Bichir), the leader of a band of Cuban exiles, helped the latter in successfully building an underground army. Within two years the two men backed by popular support and with the help of the underground army, were successful in overthrowing the corrupt and US-friendly dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.
