Plot : Bandslam, a musical comedy drama directed by Todd Graff, is about the efforts of a gifted singer and a teenager to put together a rock band to compete in the biggest music event of the year. Charlotte Banks (Aly Michalka) is a talented musician, has got everything to turn her into a true rock star. With "Bandslam", that is a battle of bands, approaching nearer, Charlotte is determined to beat her rival Ben (Scott Porter), who happens to be her egotistical ex-boyfriend and is poised to win the competition with his band named Glory Dogs. Charlotte hires Will Burton (Gaelan Connell), a new student in the junior year, to help assemble a band for competing in the Bandslam. The band soon starts to develop a unique sound and Will and his singer/guitarist friend Sam (Vanessa Hudgens) begin to develop a romantic relationship. But then a twist in the tale forces the band to choose between accepting defeat in the competition or standing tall and showing their true potential
