Plot : If you are a lover of rock music, it is deemed necessary for you to lay hands on this film. Anvil! The Story of Anvil is a documentary film, about the Canadian heavy metal band, Anvil, and is helmed by screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, whose previous credits include ‘The Big Tease’ and ‘The Terminal’. Apart from the guitar riffs and the story behind the making of the band, the documentary features interviews with other musicians who have been influenced by the band. These artists include guitar god Slash from Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver, Tom Araya from metal band Slayer, Lemmy of the Moterhead and Lars Ulrich of hard rock band Metallica. The film starts off by mentioning the acts of the Super Rock festival, that took place in Japan in 1984 including acts to the likes of Scorpions, Whitesnake and Bon Jovi, all of which are already famous and complete sell out stars, except one, Anvil. Despite their ambitious streak, the Canadian group was unable to hit the top spot. The group’s front-man and guitarist, Steve "Lips" Kudlow drives trucks for Children's Choice Catering, delivering food to schools and institutions, while the drummer, Robb Reiner, works in construction. What went wrong with such brilliant performers? Why did they not achieve success they deserved, despite being so talented? Watch Anvil!
