Plot : An American Affair is period drama set in 1963 about the friendship between a 13-year old boy and his neighbor, who is a confidant of President John F. Kennedy. Adam Stafford (Cameron Bright) is an ordinary teenager going through the usual grind of nuns, bullies, and girls at Holy Cross School. His life is changed when one day he watches his naked beautiful new neighbor across the street. A curious Adam develops a friendship with the woman who turns out be Catherine Caswell (Gretchen Mol), an artist, a divorcee and a confidante of JFK. But soon demons from Catherine’s past catches up with her and the two unusual friends are entangled in the growing confusion and intrigue which results in the assassination of the President.
