Plot : “Afterschool” is a hilarious comedy drama directed by Antonio Campos. This flick speaks volumes about the impact of technology and internet on the lifestyle and thinking of young generation. The film is all set in a Northeastern pep school and chronicles the life of a student Robert (Ezra Miller). Robert is a confused teenager who has just one hobby, watching videos on internet all time. Although all these videos can’t be held in the category of harmful but some of these contains pornographic pictures and actual fights. The guy himself doesn’t show any signs of doing anything violent but one day he gets a chance to play with a camera for a class project. After that, while shooting for the project, he unintentionally captures the death of two of her classmates. The two girls expire due to the overdose of drugs. Then in order to memorize the lives of those teen girls, teachers assign the task of making a video on their lives to the young student Robert. Afterschool video signifies how this task at the end becomes a matter of deep grief for all the teachers and students. Rather than lessening their pain, it deepens that.
