Plot : 13 is a thriller drama, which shows the story of a man, who aspires to earn big bucks, the easy way. Vince Ferro plays Sam Riley, an innocent young man, who falls into a deep abyss, when he takes on the identity of a man who is no longer alive. What follows is something which Sam has no idea about. The man whose identity he takes, is shown as the former participant of a game, where one plays for one’s life, in return of money. The game follows a simple rule – a certain number of men form a circle, with each member in possession of a gun. Each participant shoots the person who is standing directly opposite him. The ultimate survivor gets to take a huge amount of money home. When the game is in progress, people try their luck by placing bets on the contestants that they think would survive. Sam is given the number 13 in the game, and this is where the movie gets its name from. 13 is the tale of an innocent man, who, just for the sake of money, falls into the world of crime. The movie, which has been shot all over New York is inspired from a movie named ‘13 Tzameti’, which was made in French by the same director. The American version of the movie has a brilliant star cast including the likes of Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Alexander Skarsgard, Wayne Duvall, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Ray Winstone, to mention a few.
