Plot : $9.99, an animation flick directed by Tatia Rosenthal, is about a group of people trying to find the significance in their lives. Dave Peck is a 28 year old man who is unemployed and still lives with his single father. As he struggles to find his worth in the world his path crosses with those of his unusual neighbors. They include an old man and his displeased guardian angel, an indebted magician, a bewitching woman with a liking for extra smooth men, a desolate man who befriends a group of party loving two inch tall students, and a little boy who releases his piggy bank. Dave then comes across a book that claims to answer all his questions and comes at an unbelievably low price of $9.99. He buys the book on impulse, which to his surprise actually answers all the questions he was trying to get an answer for. This disclosure is so overwhelming that he feels obliged to share this information with his eccentric bunch of neighbors.
