Heidi Klum and Seal- they were the epitome of perfection when anyone thought of the words ‘love’, ‘marriage’ and ‘togetherness’. Thus, it is no wonder that the recent announcement of the couple that they are calling it quits, has sent a wave of shock through the entire entertainment world.

Despite the stark difference in their physical appearance, Heidi and Seal seemed to get along like bread and butter. When they first met in 2004, the Ella Enchanted star was pregnant from her relationship with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. However, that did not come in between the love that Seal instantly felt for her.

When her daughter Leni was born, Seal was by her side; a few months later, he proposed to her, setting stage for what many believed to be the perfect love story. The proposal was made in a gorgeous setting, in an igloo in British Columbia, which Seal had built on his own.

They later tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony on a beach in Mexico, and a year later, welcomed their first son Johan. Ever since then, their marriage was as perfect as it can be, with them renewing their vows every year.

As they indulged in passionate expressions of their love, not seeming to give two hoots to the shutterbugs snapping away, nobody could imagine that there was even a trace of a crack in their relationship.

Seal’s cryptic message on Twitter, in which he simply wrote ‘The End’, set the rumor mills running, as speculations began to do rounds.

The rumors turned to be a reality, as the couple released a joint statement about their separation. They described the decision to have come after a great amount of “soul-searching.”

As much as we wish that this had lasted, we wish both these sweethearts and their adorable kids the best, as they go through this heartbreaking transition!
