Hey all you Harry Potter fans out there, get set for the shock of your lives! Daniel Radcliffe, who played the eponymous role of Harry Potter on the long-running series, has revealed that he is not friends with Rupert Grint who co-starred with him all through the series.

It turns out that the camaraderie that Daniel and Rupert put on show at the premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, was just for the cameras! In a recent interview, Daniel revealed that even though he is good friends with Emma Watson, he doesn’t even text Rupert or see him.

For some reason, the fans of the movies took it for granted that Daniel, Emma and Rupert, who have literally grown up together while filming the movies, were inseparable buddies in real life as well. Daniel says that he wanted to clear the air off this misconception, and put the real facts out there the way they are.

As disappointed as we are with the bursting of our little bubble, we have to commend Daniel for his honesty and fearlessness. While most celebrities seem to be keen on portraying their lives and relationships as flawless, Daniel seems to be the one who loves to stick by the truth, and we sure love that!

Talking of his professional life, he seems to be doing pretty well on that ground, as his first grown-up movie The Woman in Black is up for release. Daniel can’t stop gushing about the role, and is delighted by the fact that he gets to play a 24-year-old man with a young son!

We can’t wait to see whether he manages to etch a mark with this all new role and break free from his ‘Harry Potter’ image!
